She is someone who doesn’t require any introduction. But let me tell you something about her personal life. She was born on 25th November 1978 and was named as Neeru Sawant. She is a born celebrity as she is the Film director Rakesh Sawant and actress Jaya Sawant’s sister. She is a great Bollywood dancer, an item girl and a model too. Rakhi started as a cabaret dancer and has now participated in dance shows like Nach Baliye. Rakhi has done quite a number of Bollywood’s Item nos.
Rakhi’s Swayamvar
“Rakhi ka Swayamvar” was an NDTV Imagine’s reality show that aimed at helping Rakhi Sawant to choose her swayamvar or life partner. A total of 16 contestants all over the country were shortlisted to participate in this reality show. They were given a task in each of the episodes with a total of 26 episodes. These episodes were a mix of activities like ramp walk, penning poetry’s, rituals, challenging tasks and this went on until it was filtered to just 3 finalists.
The three finalists were the young 22 yr old event manager “Manas Katyal”, the businessman “Chhitiz Jain” and the Canadian or the Toronto based NRI Businessman “Elesh Parujanwala”. However, Rakhi had to choose comes the nail biting situation. Who’s gonna be Rakhi’s Swayamvar???
The Chosen One – “Rakhi ka Swayamvar”
She was dressed in Indian bridal attire and as elegant and beautiful as an Indian princess. All the three finalists were dressed in the Indian bride groom’s attire eagerly waiting for Rakhi to choose one among them as her Swayamvar.
On August 2nd, Rakhi had to choose her swayamvar. And that happened to be the luckiest one from Canada “Elesh Parujanwala”. They were engaged but their marriage was put on hold as rakhi felt this is a one time decision in life and equally an important one. So she wanted some more time to know more about Elesh. Spend some time with each other to share their likes and dislikes, compatibility and if he would be the one for her.
And guys, yeh show ab katham nahi hua. Decision still pending hai yaar!!!
